Dear teachers,
I think 'used to go' is wrong in the following context, am I right?
Finally, I realized that the train I had chosen only used to go on working days.
I think it should be:
...only ran working days.
Would the verb 'go' be possible at all? |

Finally, I realized that the train I had chosen only used to go on working days.
The sentence doesn't make sense.
I think what you want to say is that you were waiting for a train on/at the weekend and the train didn't come. Then you realized that it only ran/came/traveled/went on weekdays.
used to
The train used to travel to Paris every day means that it traveled to Paris every day but now it doesn't, it no longer does, it doesn't any more. _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |
