Let's not go. (Why don't we just stay here instead?)
Let him not go to Japan. (Actually means, may he not go to Japan; I hope he won't go there.) Don't let him go to Japan. (Do not allow him to go there.)
Let me not see. (I hope I don't see it.) Don't let me see. (Prevent me from seeing it.)
Let me not do it. (Please don't make me do it.) Don't let me do it. (Don't allow me to do it.) _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
