"As you begin to drift back up to a lighter sleep, your mind becomes more lively."
I would like to ask you about "drifr back up to" gramatically. I thikn drift is a verb intransitive, back is an adverb, up is an adverb too, and to is a prep. And I don't think "up to" is that set phrase. What are they? |

drift + back + up + to
You can drift up or down, forward or backward.
When you go back (to), you return (to) a previous position or state
When you (fall) asleep or (fall) into a coma the direction is down. When you wake (up) the direction is just the opposite, up.
When you reach a point, condition etc. you get to a place, come to a conclusion. _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |
