This is my composition for exercise. Please help me with the rationality and correctness of its expression and grammar. Your kind and hearty instruction will be appreciated very much.

Letter of Consolation

Dear Jimmy,

I was awfully sorry to hear that you are badly hurt in bed for a severe traffic accident, and I am anxious to know whether you are feeling better now.

I was told that, it was because you want to save a child in danger when he ran across the street that you are hurt by a running motorcycle. We are all proud of you because you have done a great deed. Since so much work prevents me from paying you a visit these days, I have to ask John to take this letter to you. But I promise I will come to you immediately as soon as I finish my job. It is my sincere hope that you will be all right soon, and I may assure you that I will help you catch up with lessons you missed soon after you get well.

If there is any other way in which I can be of any help, either now or later, do not hesitate to let me know.

Wish you all the best.

Yours,
Jack

Dear Jimmy,

I am sorry to hear that you are in bed after being badly hurt in a severe road accident, and I am anxious to know if you are feeling better now.

I was told, that you were hit by a motorcycle when you were trying to save a child in danger, running across the street. We are all proud of you because you have done a great deed. Since I have a lot of work, I'm unable to pay you a visit right now and I have to ask John to take this letter to you. But I promise you, I will come to you as soon as I finish my job. I sincerely hope that you will be all right soon, and I may assure you that I will help you catch up with the lessons you missed, soon after you get well.

If there is any other way in which I can be of any help, either now or later, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Wish you a speedy recovery.

Yours,
Jack
