Dear teachers,
We usually say "Would you like something to drink?"
Is "Would you like to drink something?" also OK?
How about "Would you like to drink anything?"
Are there any differences?
Thanks a lot for your help?

They are all correct and all have the same meaning.
However, the use of something may imply that we expect an affirmative answer while anything implies that we assume or expect the response to be negative. In that case something would be more polite, sincere or correct. _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |
