I heard that the Pope will visit turkey this week and I wonder how it will go there and what will happen in there? Rolling Eyes

I hope he won't say anything wrong. Christian religion and Muslim religion are in a way competing with each other, so he should be careful.
But on the other hand maybe this is a try to make friendship between religions and that would be a good decision.

he wants to be friendly to the turkish people. As a pope, he symbolises Christianity, and if he goes there it's a symbol of Christians being friendly to Muslims. This can prevent terrorism in Germany, as the USA created a fear against Muslim culture.

I think it works at least for Germany. And as Gerhard Schr�er said that he wouldn't join Iraq war I was very sure, but now the president is not Schr�der but Merkel, and she wants to join the American war. That's bad.

So I think what the pope does is very strategical, as there are very many turks living in Germany.

owww! ad-miral thanks man I didn't even kno that the pressident agreed to join the war that's realy bad thou, I mean everyone is upset bout the war and the USA now we have new countries trying to go over there too, that must be crazy,,, I thought the pope was peacemaker...

The pope has nothing to do with politics. He can only try to solve the faults politicians have made.
I want to ask: What is the situation now? Is the pope away now? Were there any protests against him?
