Hi nativae teachers,
I really appriciae your kind instrucions.
What bothers me today is how to write one sentence
which cove the following conditions:
1. Electrode A and Electrode B are opposing each other.
2. The opposing length is 5 mm.
In this case, can I write the following sentences?
A. Electrode A and Electrode B are opposing each other by 5 mm.
B. Electrode A and Electrode B are opposing each other, with an opposing length of 5 mm.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi Joseph,
You can say:
Electrode A and electrode B are opposite each other by a distance of 5mm.
Or more commonly:
The gap between Electrode A and Electrode B is 5mm.

Hi Joseph,
You can also try:
Electrodes A and B oppose each other by a length of 5mm.
