About the email, it really cleared the question mark in my head. I'm sorry if I caused any emotional disturbance to you or your boyfriend. I guess you boyfriend understand that because I didn't know you were taken. Believe me, if I knew what I know now, I would haven't send you the email. It would save us a lot of trouble.
Are they correct?

It would have saved us a lot of trouble.
I have made a couple of corrections. They are in bold type.
You could say the same thing in fewer words, as below:
I am sorry if my email upset you or your boyfriend.
If I had known you were in a relationship, I wouldn't have sent it. |
