There are five questions for six expressions. Questions for each expression are the same.

1.“TO LOOK AS A WOLF”
1. Do you know the expression “to look as a wolf”?
2. How would you understand this expression if you heard it?
Please describe the meaning of this expression in any way you like (in what situation would you use it; what words do you associate it with; how would you explain this expression to a child etc).
3. This expression means “to look aggressively” in Russian. Do you know any English metaphorical expressions including the word “wolf” to designate “aggressiveness”?
4. Do you know any English metaphorical expressions including the name of any other animal to designate “aggressiveness”?
5. What other expressions to designate “aggressiveness” do you know?

2. “TO HOWL AS A WOLF”
6. Do you know the expression “to howl as a wolf”?
7. How would you understand this expression if you heard it?
8. This expression means “to complain bitterly about suffering” in Russian. Do you know any English metaphorical expressions including the word “wolf” to designate “suffering”?

3.”A HOUNDED WOLF”
