Dear Teachers,
1. It seems to me that youre letting your son walk all over you.
- What does walk all over you mean here?
2. He must realize that the road hes taking isnt the one he should be taking.
- taking here means going, right?
Thanks a lot to Teachers,

1. To walk all over means to take advantage of, to treat badly or disrespect.
2. Not exactly. To take a road or a path or a way is to choose a particular path and follow it. So it means that he must realize that the course he is following is not the right one.
If you want to change the verb from take to go, you might say, "He must realize that the road hes going down isnt the one he should be going down." _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
