Hi,
When a young man helped to get a boy out of the water, his father said, "easy does it."
How do you explain the grammar in "easy does it"?
Thank.

Like a lot of expressions, "Easy does it" doesn't necessarily make good grammatical sense.
It is an expression that means be careful, don't rush it, take your time, pay attention, etc. If you do it the easy / careful way, that will do it / work the best. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
