Could anyone tell me what Bette Midler meant by saying she has been on the other side? She used a profane word beginning with "s" that's not proper to show here, so I omitted a few letters.


Bette Midler said, "I�ve been on the other side to these wild and woolly sxxxx that we are seeing around our lives these days..." referring to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.
