Don't apologize for your English, nagisa: It's a lot better than my Japanese.
I visited Kyoto for four days in January, and I was amazed by the beauty of its temples. When people ask me for advice on where to visit, I usually don't know where to begin. In four days, it felt like I only scratched the surface. I always feel sorry for people who tell me they only have one or two days to explore.
Kiyomizudera was one of my favorites. A sudden snow storm blew into the city as I visited, and I have all these beautiful pictures of the temples and the famous terrace being battered by snow. Sanjusangendo was remarkable, with all its statues of Kannon; Nanzenji's rock gardens were exquisite. Walking the grounds of Ginkakuji - in spite of all the tourists - made for a memorable afternoon, and the reflection of Kinkakuji in the pond outside was breathtaking.
See what I mean? Once I get started, I can hardly catch my breath. But I hope that was helpful!

Thank you for answering my question.
I think that Kyoto was very cold in winter. Winter is good. But I think spring and autumn are more beautiful than winter.
Please try to visit again
I love Kyoto. I think that I want a lot of foreigners to come to Kyoto and seeing not only sightseeing spot but also Japanese culture.
Therefore I examine it where an interesting place of foreigners is and I will write travel plans of having you enjoy it in a report. |

Hi everyone!!
I am Japanese and college student now.
I visited Kyoto for four days in March of spring holiday last year.
I was really moved by the beauty of sight and some temples, people's personality.
I went to Kiyomizu temple, Kinkaku-ji, Ginkaku-ji, Ryoan-ji.
Ryoan-ji is famous for garden of stone.
I could forgot time when see beautiful sight!!!!!!
Also I went Arashiyama and ride on bogie.
I walked around a lot , so became tired BUT I could enjoy.
If you go Kyoto, you had better wear the shoes which were easy to walk.
I made a rough plan when I go there.
I got a lot of information at Kyoto station.
You can get map and line of buses map.
Also I recommend you had better buy 2dayfree bus ticket.
It was really useful!!!! You can get Kyotostation!!!
Have a nice trip!! |
