I tried to find the answer using Google and got a lot of things about a war, but that is not what I am looking for.

If you don't mean the Battle of the Bulge, an important battle in World War II, then I'm not sure what it is.

| I came across the expression 'the battle of the bulge' in connection with the hard efforts people make to fight (get rid of) that paunch and all the extra pounds they have put on. |
