Hi Everybody,
which firm is correct and why:
1. At university, Jason WOULD BE/HAD BEEN a nice guy. He always told compliments to girls.
2. Our mother will let us play outdoors as soon as we HAVE CLEANED/WILL CLEAN our room.
3. What am I supposed to do with all the balloons? You NEEDN'T HAVE INFLATED/DIDN'T NEED TO INFLATE them all.
TIA,
Kate. |

1...Both are acceptable although their meanings have different implications. "had been" is more likely to be the better answer.
The second sentence should be He always gave the girls compliments.
2...Both are acceptable but "have cleaned" is better.
3...Both are correct.
If you have further questions, please ask. |
