When John came into the city, he met a few people. They all got impressive degrees on paper but they barely paid their rent. He met Jane first who was a journalist, Smith, accountant; Smith introduced his brother Joe who was a musican to John. They all lived in the city downtown.
Are they correct?

| Hey again, Welkins, 1st sentence is fine. 2nd sentence: change "got" to "had". 3rd sentence: put "then" before "Smith" and "an" before "accountant", then change the semi-colon to a period. Then put a comma before and after "... who was a musician...". Last sentence is OK, but all downtowns are in cities, so you can just say "downtown", and take out "in the city". OK? |
