What is the difference between *anonymousness* and *anonymity*?

Thanks

Anonymousness is not a real word.
Anonymity is the correct word.

Thanks Mr. Admiral - I must admit at first I was with Obelix on this one thinking it was a non-word

You have proved it does exist and - it follows the rules of word formation so even though it may not have been a 'word' before - it obviously is now

Personally - I would still prefer to use anonymity - a) because it's shorter and b) because I'm used to it, people have a preference for words they learn first don't you think? - or is it just because I'm getting older?
