				| hi my friends, I've just seen this in a site. it made me pay attention on it, I'd want to share it with you...

It took a wave of school shootings to awaken the school system to the age-old problem of bullying. But instead of taking real action against bullies, schools are simply enacting long-winded policies and installing metal detectors.

Unfortunately, a lecture in the school auditorium isnt going to counteract bad parenting and a metal detector isnt going to stop kids from being mean to one another. Until schools take a very hard line against bullies, monitoring school grounds better and suspending students who intimidate others, kids will continue to live in fear.

Punishment won't solve the problem. And after all, they're children. Bullying is just a part of their world, like disease in our world. They need to be educated and cultivated. We can't treat them like criminals.

				| Bullying is not the right thing, that's clear. But if you punish the bulliers, be sure that the problem won't be solved and that he will begin to smoke, wear aggressive clothes, and bully others again.
The best way to stop bullying is to improve the parental education. We should start here and we shouldn't start at how to punish. Children won't get the link between the punishment and the fact that he bullies.

I hope I made my point clear.

And thanks alper for sharing! Selam aleykum
