Dear Teachers,
1. I think my son is going down the road to delinquency.
- What does "go down the road" mean here?
2. Let me first say that I am in no way trained to give a diagnosis, but based on my experience I'll give it a try.
- What does "I'm in no way trained" mean here?
Thanks a lot to Teachers,

1. He's progressing toward becoming a delinquent. Each day he is further down that road/path.
2. To be "in no way [something]" is an emphatic way to say "not at all." He is not trained, in any way, to give a diagnosis. |
