Hi,
I've got a article on the internet as follows.
Will former "Idol" Jennifer Hudson be the breakout star of "Dreamgirls"? Judge for yourself.
But I can't catch the meaning of breakout star.

| I think it probably means that she will go on to be a star outsideof the Dreamgirls show she is in now. |
