Dear Teachers,
1. Have a life. Just because you're dating a woman doesn't mean that you drop everything else ( include your friends, and interests, so on).
- "life" here means "background", right?
2. You have the right to evaluate your date, not just the other way around. Does she deserve a second date? Is she relationship material?
- What does "relationship material" mean here?
Thanks a lot to Teachers,

1. I wouldn't use the word "backround" in this context, but I think you have the right idea. It means, "Don't spend all your time on the relationship. Keep up your friendships, interests, etc."
2. To say "[something] material" means having the right qualities to be that "something." Does she have the qualities that would make you want to be in a relationship with her? If so, she's relationship material. Maybe she's interesting, or funny, or brilliant, but she lacks other qualities that would make you interested in her. In that case, she is not relationship material. |
