Was the face on the canvas viler than before?
Was the face on the canvaas viler than it was before?
Are they the same?
What funtion does 'before' play? Isn't it an adverb?
Thank you |

The sentences are the same.
Before is an adverb which means at an earlier time.
Everyday I am older and hopefully wiser.
Today I am older than yesterday.
Today I am older than I was yesterday.
It was very cold this morning. Now it is warmer.
Now it is warmer than earlier this morning.
Now it is warmer than it was earlier this morning. _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |
