Case study is one of the research methodologies.
It involves in-depth study and analysis of a few individual
cases and inferences based on them.
For instance, if you are researching the grammatical aspects of
code-mixing in early bilinguals, you may pick a small number of
early bilingual children, study them in detail: their languages, their environment, their sentences, etc. You then analyse the data
and draw inferences. |
