I attended a English examination test in my country. My listening and reading parts score is good. But I failed in writing part. Since I have children and have no much to learn English. I only listened english from news report and English-learning magazines. As result, I had improved in listening, but failed in writing and spoken ability. Is it necessary to memorize something to improve writing ability? |

Hi!
I think writing and memory are not so closely related as you think. I believe that practice is much more important than memory. Try to write more things, starting from short and easy compositions and going on with more formal writing. Ask somebody to correct the compositions for you so to realize your mistakes and you will improve them. That's more important than memorizing chunks.
