Please help me distinguish the following:

*to control, to rule, to govern

What are their connotations? Are there any specific circumstances in which one of them is preferred?

Is "govern" more commonly used for issues related to economics?

Governments govern.

Dictators (rule)(control) countries. Judges and arbitrators rule to settle disputes.

Teachers control classrooms and bosses control companies.
