I would say, "What are the plans for the weekend?", if I wanted to know about a specific weekend.
For example, if a group of us were going to England for a week, and had decided what we were going to do on all the weekdays, someone might ask, "What are the plans for the weekend?"
They might actually say, "What 're we doing at the weekend?" Or, "What about the weekend?"
I would say, "What are the plans for weekends?", if I wanted to know what the plans were for all weekends during a certain period.
So if a group of us were going to England for a month, and we were going to work during the week, someone might ask, "What are the plans for (the) weekends?" Or, "What are the plans for the weekends?" |
