Telling the interviewer you are a perfectionist and expect too much of yourself is sure to elicit a yawn, if not a *discreet roll of the eyes.*
Sorry, I don't understand that part.
Could anyone explain?

When someone disbelieves something, or feels cynical, or feels like saying, "Oh, brother!", he / she may roll his / her eyes -- look up and then to the side -- either voluntarily or involuntarily. You tell the job interviewer something very self-serving and probably untrue, and the interviewer is not going to be favorably impressed.
A discreet roll / rolling of the eyes would be more voluntary, more subtle, but just as informative to the attentive person. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
