Dear Teachers,

1. Don't let yourself go, 'cause everybody cries, and everybody hurts.
- "don't let yourself go" means "don't lose yourself", right?

2. My girlfriend and I moved too fast and things fell apart. Since then, we've been on again and off again.
- What does 'on again and off again" mean here?

Thanks a lot to Teachers,

Stevenukd

1. From an REM song, it means don't kill yourself when you're feeling really bad. (I mean that in the literal sense - don't commit suicide.)

2. It's a cycle: We break up, we get back together, we break up, we get back together...
