Hello,
In formal writing, are there conventions for writing proper names such as the names of events or the topics of the talk?
In a paragraph in which both the name of the event and the topic of the panel appears, should different formats be used to differentiate between the two?
Which format should we use with the name of the event: italic or bold or quotation marks?
What about the topic of the talk? I feel that I should use quotation marks, but I am not so sure.
Please advise.
Many thanks in advance,

The name of the event can be put in Italics, preferably, or in bold.
The topic of the talk should be given in quotes.
Titles of books/magazines/journals/newspaper are put in either Italics or Underlined.
Titles of an essay/short story/ paper/article is put in quotes. |
