Hello,
When we talk about a company group, do we need "the" before the name of the group even though the name doesn't have "the" in it to begin with"?
"I have done some work for (the) X Group."
"Y has acquired a 20 per cent share in (the) X Group"
And should the word "group" be capitalised?

Yes, you need to add "the" before the name of a company group. "Group" should be capitalised as "X" and "Group" belong together.  _________________ Mary W. Ng
