Could you tell me whether I used the words 'the most' correctly in the following sentence.
- The number of passengers who fly across the nation during Thanksgiving holiday is THE MOST in a year.
Thank you.

This always happens so I would say in/of the year.
You can't say "the most number" but you could say "the most numbers".
You could also say:
Thanksgiving is the busiest travel period.
It's the most popular time to travel.
It's when most people travel.
It's when the largest/greatest/highest number of people travel. _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |
