Hello!
I'm rervous now. Crying or Very sad
Because I'm university student and major in English now.
I study English everyday. I can read and write English. However, I can't speaking English very well.
My listening and speaking skill is not good.
How can I get good speaking skill?
My friend said ''if you want to get a good English skill, you should go foreign country. It is shortcut to good speaking people''.
I agree her.
I live in Japan. Japanese speak only Japanese. I can't use English in my living. If I go to abroad, I can speak English very well.
But ...can I get English in my country?
Do you think about it?
Going abroad is only way to good English speaker?
Question

1. How can I get good speaking skill?
Speak more. Reading aloud (to yourself) can also help.

2. But ...can I get English in my country?
Yes. Classroom, friends, Internet (Yahoo's English chatrooms).

3. Going abroad is only way to good English speaker?
No, see answer to question two. Studying abroad can improve your English speaking skill quicker. Make sure to pick a school with very few Japanese speakers. Have you looked into studying abroad as an exchange student?

Yes, that's important. I was talking with English teachers in Japan who had female Japanese students study abroad. The J-girls only made friends with other J-girls at the school, and outside the classroom they only socialized with each other, never speaking English. They learned nothing, just having a nice overseas vacation.
