You are to be blamed.
Is the second sentence acceptable and does it have the same meaning as the first one?

I don't think they are exactly the same, but they are close.
You are to blame means, basically, you did it, or it's your fault.!
e.g. She is sad, and you are to blame.
You are to be blamed means (to me) You are (going) to be blamed.
i.e. The post office window is broken and you are to be blamed. In other words, they think you did it. |
