Can anyone tell me what "talk about slow on the uptake" means? I can't find its meaning in my dictionaries. Thanks a lot! Warm regards, Allen

To me, "slow on the uptake" means 'slow to understand'. "talk about" means 'this is a good (example) (demonstration) of.......'. So the whole phrase means 'This person is really (slow)(dull)(stupid).'
