Hello, teachers.
I have a question about "hot eyes" in the following passage.

With hot eyes and aching limbs he sat through the night. Dream after dream rose up and passed away before that little background of tapestried wall.
============
"He" spends the night beside a woman just holding her hand. I checked "hot eyes" on the Internet and found that many people find them "sexually attractive". Is "hot eyes" in the above passage used in the same sense? Or can it mean "tired eyes"?

Dear Imchongjun, I think those 'hot eyes' are indeed tired eyes. In the context of 'aching limbs', that's how I see it. It is not a sexy setting, but, rather, an introspective one. OK?
