Hello,
I came across the phrase "established and founded" quite often on the internet. It sounds ok to me, but is it redundant? Is it an acceptable phrase to use? Don't both "establish" and "found" mean the same thing? Or is it a kind of fixed expression now?
Thank you,
Nawee |

.
If you've seen it in print, then you are ahead of me, Nawee. It certainly sounds redundant. The American Heritage Dictionary simply lists them as synonyms.
