Political democratic reforms are the necessary trend in modern China

Yesterday Chinese Prime Minister Wen published an article in state-run news agency Xinhua which stated that science , democracy, legal system, freedom and human rights are the universal values , they are not only cherished by capitalist countries , they are also cherished by socialist China, these universal values advance the civilization of the world.

Recently some of famous communist scholars published a series of articles which intended to push China into political democratic reforms, one of these was written by Keping Yu which is titled "democracy is good", it has significant impact on Chinese politics.

A independent scholar named Liting Ding even published a long essay called" political democratic reforms are the necessary trend in modern China.

In his essay Ding emphasizes that political reforms are very urgent right now in China and is the only way to solve current Chinese hard issues such as corruptions, creating huge amount of middle class, improving free market system, reasonable legel system ,international recognition, advancing the quality of all Chinese citizens and pushing the unification with Taiwan.

Although there are many communist scholars pushing democracy in China, the question is whether or not Chinese top leaders are willing to conduct them in order to face the challenges ahead of the evolution of Chinese civilization. We have to wait and see.
