MI, everyone!

If I say "Mr. Williamson's history class is as boring as any in our school", what does that mean? Does it mean all the classes are equally boring?

The sentence means all other history classes are boring in our school, like Mr. Williamson's history class.

Mr. Williamson's history class is as boring as any history class in our school.

Yinglish's answer is not correct. Furthermore, the sentence does not only compare Mr. Williamson's class to other history classes; it compares Mr. Williamson's class to all other classes.

The sentence means that there is no other class that is more boring than Mr. Williamson's history class, but there may be some other classes equally as boring as Mr. Williamson's history class.

The sentence does not mean that all classes are boring.
