Hi Tone,

It's "take for granted" or "taken for granted."

It's a common expression meaning the presumption of something to be true, available or complete -- when, in fact, it may not.

reverse definition:

He took for granted that his girlfriend would always be there.
He took his girlfriend for granted.
He took her for granted.

Don't take your girlfriend for granted.

Often, its meaning is associated with the ignorance of facts or conditions to an assumption of which one was not aware, but might regret (the ignorance) later.
