Dear all,
I think action is more about 'process' whereas act is more about 'deed.' But I'm always having a hard time to distinguish them when actually using them. Could anyone please help me to figure out their usage?
Much appreciated. |

Dear Relaxation: Your connecting 'action' with 'process' and 'act' with 'deed' is good. That's the key, but just remember it... An 'act of kindness' assumes completion; whereas 'actions of a madman' emphasizes a continuing thing.--Eric |
