Dear teachers,
Can you tell me the differences between "it, that & so" when used after "do"?
For example : how to expain the following sentence?
--- I saw Jenny read in the Readers' Club yesterday.
---Oh, she does____ every weekend.
A. it B. so C. something D. that
Thank you!
Peace

Dear Puzzle: C. 'something' is not a good choice for your sentence. 'It, 'that', 'so' are all appropriate pronouns. My ranking of choosing among them is: 1. 'that' 2. 'so' 3. 'it'. It is difficult to explain why I rank them so. It's just my opinion, based on my life experience. Ok--- Eric Smile
