It means "exactly", a phrase. If you are a chinese, there is a online dictionary for your reference

I think the meaning is different in each of the sentences.
The first one means, "I would not give up my job for anything." That is, you could not convince me to give up my job no matter what you offered me. I like it too much.
The second one means, "She sat reading her paper, and if anyone looked at her, they would have thought that nothing had happened." |
