Driving and Cell phones

People seem to have mixed opinions about this topic.

Personally I think that it should be illegal, and that there should be a fine. If you drive and do other activities at the same time, such as talking on your cell phone, you are not giving your full attention to the road. You should pull over to the side of the road, or if that is not possible, let your phone ring - unless you have a handsfree set. People take a big risk when they drive and talk on their cellphone at the same time and there is a high chance they will cause an accident. What is more important - arriving safely at your destination without killing anyone else, or answering your phone?

In New Zealand, it is not illegal to drive and talk on your cellphone at the same time. 17 people have been killed and 291 injured since 1997 because of people using their cellphones while driving. The government is still deciding whether they should make this illegal or not!

What is your opinion? Do you think people should be allowed to drive and talk on their cell phone? Why or why not? Or do you think governments should make it illegal? Should there be a fine or some other punishment?

My opinion about driving and cell phones is that I think it's ok, because with the cell phone you can communicate with other people any time, you don't need to stop to call your friends. I like drive and to talk with my friends, beacuse you don't feel alone. If you need something, for example one adress only you have to do is call and ask to the other person where is this place.

Driving and cell phones

I think that cell phones in cars is a bad idea.But a lot of people use to cell phone in the car.When you driving while talking or a cell phone is dangerous and stupid.
So many people who use cell phone to talk in the car usually pay more attention to what they aree talking about than driving.
So i think the punishment is need more hard, because im my country per year a lot of people died and police nothing to do.It is a illegal in my country but a lot of stupid person make this.The polcie'll caugth the bad driver and after take back his licence.

I think that cell phones in cars is a bad idea. Not only do you put yourself at risk but you are risking the lives of others. An alternative though, if you really really need to use a cell phone in your car while driving would be to get a headset or a speaker phone installed and have the answer button wired into the steering wheel. That way at least people aren't holding phones up to their heads, but the bottom line for me is that cell phones should be prohibited to drivers, but a passenger could use it that way. If there is an emergency, the passenger could call for help.

I think that the cell phone is very dangerous when you drive.
While you use the cell phone, you can't concertrate in driving.
And if you are concerned about talking with your friend, you don't see a car's movement.
These situations are going to cause an accident.
Also people who not guilty are hurted and die.
Therefore the goverment have to make it illegal.
In korea, using the cell phone when you drive is illegal. so, if you are detected, you have to pay the bill.
I think, this punishment is very light.
Thus the goverment have to raise the bill and cancle the license.

Driving and Cell phone

The cell phone is very convenient. You can talk phone everywhere you like and
you don't need to stop to call your friends. When you go out , you don�t meet your mother.
You call your mother cell phone and find her very quickly. So I like using cell phone.

Any way, while you are driving in the car, you can�t use the cell phone at the same time. It is very dangerous. When you talk on driving ,you must divide your brain, I believe it is easy to result in accident.

In sum up , I think cell phone should be limited as you driving . If you do that ,the government punishment you �maybe you must pay a lot of many for it.

In my opinion you can't drive and speak on the cell phone at the same time, because it is dangerous.
Cell phones are very important for modern living. They help in communication and are very useful in emergencies , but we have to be careful when using them.
In the car we have to pay attention to driving and talking on a cell phone can to be dangerous.
In my country it is illegal, but nobody respects the law!

I think when you driving a car you most push your think through the road and be more attention for anything can come upon to you, some people use tolking through a cell phone while they are driving.also many people say '' while we are driving sometimes we have an important call. so,my opnion if you have an important call we can stop the car and answer it. Because we can be in the saifeside and onther motorts too.
However when somebody said we can use allow speake or air-speaker and then we can but two hand in a weheel.actually we can say to them it's ok you can but two hand in the wheel but your think it's rally well be in the call. so when you driving your car you don't just use to think about yourself , you have also thought about other motorts and pedestrians.

I think, it was very dangerous!!
Because when we are driving a car, we have to be careful about everything. It means , we'll be concentrated driving a car.
Sometimes, when we are using cell phone, we can getting angry, anxious and neverous. If you are driving at that time, it is very dangerous .

wii yousing cell phones are vere important in our life and very useful in emergencies, but sometimes were you are driving it cause you an accident becouse you may get angry after that....... Baam >>accident :shock:or killing anyone else
so my opinion is that wen you are driving dont answer only the emergencies calls

I think that the mobile phone is very important in the life�s people, with the mobile phone the people can resolve any problems, therefore the people should to have a mobile phone and can to talk anywhere including in the cars, but only they can talk if they used microphone and smalls audiphones called free hand. If the people are talk with the standard systems should be sanction, the people should pay a fine.

Driving and cell phones, if you were use the two things at the same time, maybe you would kill yourself or kill other people. About few years ago, cell phones are not invention, so we have no the problem like this, but nowadays almost everyone have cell phone. Although cell phones are very important and convenient, but when we are driving, we need very concentrate. If you use cell phone when you are driving, you will become distracted. Maybe use the earphone when you have the emergency things is more safe and convenient. Don�t let the moment convenient become the regret of your life.

First of all the drivers must give there attentions to the road and any small mistakes that�s might cause a huge problem. Fore example drivers answer their phone calls or do any another activities that let them lose their attention.

In my opinion the driver mustn�t answer their call phone unless if they have a free hand set and in the same time they are focus in the road because. That might cause accidents. The driver are resbonsibal of their life and another people life. I think governments should make it illegal and they should do some punishments or fine for drivers who over this rules.
