And so I want to encourage people, even when they're in the organisation, to experiment* with* different identities so that if they lose one, they're not absolutely stuck.

Can the *with* be omitted?

Did you *work out* why being able to do more than one job is good?
understand? comprehend? realize?

Thanks

Could anyone use *work out* in that sense in another sentence?

Thanks

"Work out" means both to figure out / puzzle out / determine / solve some problem, and also to get physical exercise at a gym or elsewhere, and also to take care of or resolve other than mental puzzles.

I had a tough assignment for my math class, and it took me a long time to work out all the problems. After I was finished, I went to the gym to work out, and I got some sore muscles. Luckily, my girlfriend is good at massage, and she was able to work out the knots for me. We also got a chance to talk about a few little problems, and we worked them out too.
