Hello,
Should the verb be singular or plural in this case?
[Is/Are] my boss or my colleagues joing us?
My boss or my colleagues [is/are] joining us.
Thank you,

Is my boss or my colleagues joining us?
According to a TOEFL preparation guide (American publication), the above sentence should be preferably written such that the plural subject is proximal to the verb.
Are my colleagues or my boss joining us?
Either my boss or my colleagues are joining us. |
