and CD9 might be more disturbing than the old four-letter words.

(just a guess)...morphed from the 911 emergency telephone code in the U.S.

p911 -> code9 -> cd9-> to alert others that a parent is around

Surely....if parents know the meaning of a "code" ??

Be careful when you use acronyms like POS for they can mean something different.

In this case, POS means parent(s) over shoulder but could mean �piece of s-h-i-t� (no good/really bad).

Example:
My scooter is a POS, I need to buy a new one soon.
