I have one more question which is whether 'choice' can also be the alternative to 'option'.

So, I made a sentence in which I used 'choice' instead of 'options' like this: 'This plan is not very good but I'm afraid there is little choice available to us at this late stage of the game.'

Please tell me whether the above sentence made by me is correct or not.

That's not bad. I would shorten the sentence a little:

This plan is not very good, but I'm afraid there is little choice at this late stage of the game.
