Hello,
when I was reading a book, I met a saying. "It be that way sometimes". Is it equal to "That's the way it goes"? Was it said by a kind of famous person? the precending sentense was "as a wise man once said;".
I will appreciate your help.

I'd be interested to know the book, because it sounds like dialect.

A pirate might say, in a book, "The ship be two mile away, arrgh!"

Someone from the Deep South in the U.S. might say, "Sometime it be hard to teach children right."

"It be that way sometimes" just means "Sometimes, that just the way it is," but would not be said that way by most native speakers. And attributing the thought to a wise man might just be a little joke in the book. It doesn't take much wisdom to announce that something is that way because that's the way it is.
