#1 (1)So long as it doesn't rain, we can play.
(2)As long as it doesn't rain, we can play.
Is there any difference in meaning between 'so long as'
and 'as long as'?
#2 (1)I remember when she was young?
(2)Do you know when he will come home?
Is the word 'when' of two sentences a relative adverb?
I'd appreciate your help! |

In #1 you can use either "so long as" or "as long as". As far as I know there is no difference whatsoever.
In #2 "when" is a relative adverb in both cases although there is no antecedent noun or pronoun.
Do you know the reason why he is late?
Do you know the station where he will arrive at?
Do you know the exact time when he will come home? _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |

I really appreciate your help.
(1)Do you know 'when' he will come home?
In this sentence, can "when" be an interrogative? |
