He used to take us fishing / to fish and paly with us.
In the above sentence, which of the two expressions is appropriate? If two expressions are right, what is the difference?

They are both possible but "take us fishing" is the most common way to express this idea.
A. He went swimming.
This only refers to the activity, the sport.
B.He went to swim.
This means that he went somewhere for the purpose, or in order to swim. _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |
